Jim Lowell's Lazy Portfolio

Jim Lowell, the editor of Fidelity Investor and The ETF Trader at Marketwatch and author of the book "What Every Fidelity Investor Needs to Know", has a lazy growth portfolio of his own.

This one is interesting because it throws into the mix funds that we don't normally see (i.e. Lazy portfolio's dominated by Vanguard, etc)

To see how this fund has performed over the last few years, check out this article.

Ben Stein's Lazy Portfolio

Ben Stein wrote an article on Yahoo called Investing Strategies for the New Year. In it, he introduced a recommended Lazy Portfolio for LONG term investors.

Since it is compose entirely of ETFs, Canadians are able to use this portfolio. However, Canadians also need to be aware of the the fact that all the ETFs are in American currency and to be conscious of currency exposure.

Coffeehouse Lazy Portfolio

The classic coffeehouse lazy portfolio is built entirely of low fee ETFs.

Since it is built entirely with ETFs, it is Canadian friendly (Canadians can actually purchase them). However, be aware that there is some currency risk of carrying all your investments in only U.S. dollars.
